Time for a New Home

Hey everyone,

As a result of yesterday's discussion, it's been decided that the best thing to do is to move to another forum. First, though, we need to choose a domain name. Please vote on your favorite option in the poll or, if you have another idea, post it here.

Something like iliveformafia.net?

One thing we want to think about is that Bonsly spent a lot of time designing our banner so we want to make it so that he only has to change the text but can keep the same design. That's why we want Mafia _____ and we want the second word to have an O so he can keep the same noose effect.

if you want it to start with mafia and have the second word start with an O. then why dont you try:

mafiaoverkill.net
mafiaoutstandingfuntime.net
thisisnotmafiaonline.net
(i hope you know i am just putting words with o at the end of these words and just putting random names out there)

Alex's suggestions are all available. However, it doesn't have to start with O, if it has an O somewhere in it it would still work (like anonymous, forum, etc)

Those are great, Alex. When we started discussing names I literally pulled out a dictionary and started suggesting words starting with O.

I think it should be Mafia(goo).net

That's actually really good... because it's a metaphorical town where we can play mafia, but also it's got the major factions and I am probably reading too much into this but I'm going to assume you're just brilliant. :brill:

Yeah I really like mafia-town... like before I was pretty apathetic about the name but I think that was because I didn't love any of the suggestions. I love that suggestion.

Well hopefully tomorrow we will set up the ability to donate money and then I'm assuming that will be up for maybe 3-5 days and then at the end of that time we will look what has the most votes and we will buy it and start making the site

No big deal.

Donating money is in now way required or even expected. There's a few people that have been interested in donating so we want to give people that option and then the rest of the cost will be split between mods/admins

Oh, when I suggested the iliveformafia.net thing I didn't mean that would be the actual name of the site, just the domain name, like we can still have Bonsly's banner and everything. But yeah I don't really mind what the domain name will be anyways.

Yeah, I really like mafia-town.net because it's simple and easy to remember. I wish we could get one that didn't require a hyphen, but mafia-town actually looks better with it.

I put all of them up because they're all available, and I didn't know what people's preference would be.

The plan is for the domain name and the site name to be the same, so it's easier to remember.
