Welcome to Mafia Online! We are glad to have you here, whether you are new to mafia or a pro. If you want to know what Mafia is, go [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

Here are some features of Mafia Online that you should all be aware of:

Rankings

Mafia Online uses a ranking feature to differentiate between differentiate frequent posters from newbies. You level up based on your post count. A good way to post a lot is to play mafia games and discuss a lot!

Currently, there are sixteen levels. When you first make an account, you will be a "recruit." Beside all of your posts you will see an image showing what your rank is.

Notifications

Mafia Online does not have popup notifications. You can subscribe to a thread by clicking the "Watch this topic for replies" link at the bottom of the page of each thread, seen here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

If you click that link, you will be notified by email whenever a new post is added to that thread. You can also set your personal settings to automatically subscribe you to any thread once you post in it.

If you would rather not receive notification emails, you can quickly see which forums and threads have new replies. There is an icon next to each thread or forum that indicates if there is a new post or not, as determined by the Key on the bottom of the homepage:

Next to the name of each unread thread will be a little orange page icon that will take you to the first unread post. The blue dot will appear next to any thread you have contributed to.

Points and Shop

You can earn points from participating in Mafia Online. The points you earn can be redeemed at the Shop for rewards (this will be announced and set up at a later date, so stay tuned!)

There are several ways to earn points:

• 1 point for making a post
  
• 3 points for making a new topic/thread
  
• 1 point for each friend you have
  
• 1 point for each profile message you have
  
• Various points are available for winning mafia games
