I just want to say that the only reason I read this thread is to correct Shawn's grammar when he tells everyone to "PM Katelynn and I"

Re: Mafia 16: The Legend of Zelda
HORRIBLE NEWS!!!
While debating whether to leave the danger of Hyrule or wait for the return of her Beloved Kafei, Anju was brutally attacked last night. She has lost all her hearts, hearts that she was saving for her wedding with Kafei, for she knew that one day he would return.
As the Hyrule Guard leaves the Stock Pot Inn, though, and travel through the Alley, the find the body of a prancing theif. Sakon had made off with lots of petty things, masks, bottles, money.
And to top it all off, the little sister of Link, Aryll, was slain as well. This is truly a horrible day. It appears the life was sucked out of her by some horrible undead monster.
Blinding Shadows (Anju), Lkun (Sakon) and Parzival (Aryll) were all town. You have about 10 hours (sorry for the late scene) to decide who to hang!
Also, to encourage voting, the patriotic owner of the Bazaar is offering half price today on all shop items to those that take the time to vote today. Rounded down, even. Recovery hearts are now only two rupees.

Re: Mafia 16: The Legend of Zelda
3 people in one night? Seriously?
Um, do we think that these are all mafia kills or are we looking at another SK
or... I don't even know what else?

Re: Mafia 16: The Legend of Zelda
Also, just to make sure you all know: You can buy items at any time, day or night, and to do so just PM me.
Re: Mafia 16: The Legend of Zelda
I'm guessing several mafia members targeted the same person or it could be the items people got during their adventures that allowed them to destroy hearts.
Re: Mafia 16: The Legend of Zelda
Well there was only 1 kill the first night, so it's probably not an sk. It wouldn't really explain why there were 3 kills tonight, anyway.Cat wrote:3 people in one night? Seriously?

Re: Mafia 16: The Legend of Zelda
I think people aren't buying heart refills. As soon as you get hit, you should go buy something to get that heart back. Especially now that everything's half off. And try to get rupees before going on those big quest adventure things.
It seems like the mafia is targeting people who they know won't be very vigilant about keeping their health up, so they can just knock down a bunch of people right away. (I don't even know who Parzival is.)

I was thinking about that, but if someone bought one of those items why would they waste it so early on? And on those people of all people? I don't think any of them had even spoken in the thread.
And I'm not understanding how the mafia works. Is it like they get x amount of damage to deal out each night and then split it up how they want? If that's how it works and all three of these were mafia kills, that means they'd have 9 hearts of damage to deal out which seems pretty unfair.

Re: Mafia 16: The Legend of Zelda
Isn't it that each mafia member can damage one heart and if three hearts are damaged, that person dies. I was thinking that including the damage to the heart/s from the first night, the mafia was able to damage more heart/s to the same person the second night. I don't think there are that many mafia members.
Re: Mafia 16: The Legend of Zelda
Yeah, I'm a little confused, too. Let's work it out:
Night 1: Sawybean
Night 2: MLPAlex and Matt
Night 3: B_Shad, Lkun, Parzival
So that's 18 hearts of damage, over three nights. Six hearts of damage a night for the whole mafia? But I'm sure they haven't just attacked these people, so they probably have more than six total per night. If the mafia is five people big, and they each got one heart of damage per night, that's 15 for three. So maybe they get 1.5 hearts? That's 22.5 hearts for three nights, which makes sense.
Also, I wonder if the mafia can pool their rupees. Probably not, because that would allow them to pretty quickly get things like bombs and roleblocks. But it's just an idea.

Weren't we supposed to get PM'd if we lost hearts in previous nights?

Re: Mafia 16: The Legend of Zelda
I didn't realize that it was 1 kill then 2 then 3.
I wonder if that means the mafia is getting stronger every night.
What if it's 4 kills tonight

Re: Mafia 16: The Legend of Zelda
Maybe you weren't killed by the mafia. It's possible that someone else could have targeted you with an item that takes out three hearts in one go.Lkun wrote:Weren't we supposed to get PM'd if we lost hearts in previous nights?

Re: Mafia 16: The Legend of Zelda
I don't think it's possible to get 20 rupees in three nights. And if so, who would get all those rupees just to buy it and use it on someone random?

Re: Mafia 16: The Legend of Zelda
Night one could have looked like this: (I'm assuming five mafia members, but this could be adjusted for other numbers)
2 members attack Sawybean1 -> 3 hearts damage total
1 member attacks Matt -> 1.5 hearts damage total
1 member attacks MLPAlex -> 1.5 hearts damage total
1 member attacks Lkun -> 1.5 hearts damage total
Night 2:
1 member attacks Matt -> 3 hearts damage total
1 member attacks MLPAlex -> 3 hearts damage total
1 member attacks Parzival -> 1.5 hearts damage total
1 member attacks B_Shad -> 1.5 hearts damage total
1 member attacks miscellaneous person -> 1.5 hearts damage total
Night 3:
1 member attacks Lkun -> 3 hearts damage total
1 member attacks Parzival -> 3 hearts damage total
1 member attacks B_Shad -> 3 hearts damage total
2 members attack miscellaneous people -> 1.5 hearts damage each
This is how it makes the most sense to me. I'm sure it could be worked out with different numbers of mafia and different numbers of attack points and different mafia strategies and different items etc. But this is a pretty simple way of looking at it. If I'm right, this means that there are three people alive right now with 1.5 hearts of damage who could be killed in the next night cycle and who I strongly recommend buy a heart recovery thing.

Re: Mafia 16: The Legend of Zelda
Out of curiosity, will we hear when the heart containers have been bought?
Personally, I think it's more likely that each mafia member gets to do 1 damage, and someone else is also able to do damage, just because 1 is a whole number and 1.5 isn't. I don't know, it seems to me like a whole number would be less random... I'm not doing a very good job of explaining this...

Re: Mafia 16: The Legend of Zelda
No, I understand, Parti. I thought that too, and so I went and figured out how these three nights would go if each person got one heart of damage. The mafia would have to be six people minimum, though.
Night 1:
3 members attack Sawybean1 -> 3 hearts damage total
1 member attacks Matt -> 1 heart damage total
1 member attacks MLPAlex -> 1 heart damage total
1 member attacks Parzival -> 1 heart damage total
Night 2:
2 members attack Matt -> 3 hearts damage total
2 members attack MLPAlex -> 3 hearts damage total
1 member attacks B_Shad -> 1 heart damage total
1 member attacks Parzival -> 2 hearts damage total
Night 3:
3 members attack Lkun -> 3 hearts damage total
2 members attack B_Shad -> 3 hearts damage total
1 member attacks Parzival -> 3 hearts damage total
Of course, both of these plans would be thwarted by people buying heart refills. So either no one bought refills or these numbers would have to be changed a little to account for that. Maybe the mafia intended three people to die on night 2, but someone bought a heart refill so it got delayed to night 3.

I don't think anyone else would be able to deal damage. I think this game is complicated enough already without having a third party.

Re: Mafia 16: The Legend of Zelda
But if the mafia could attack like that, why wouldn't they stack their damage as much as possible so people wouldn't get an opportunity to buy hearts?

Re: Mafia 16: The Legend of Zelda
That's true. They could just kill two people a night with one heart damage each.
And maybe each member deals a different amount of damage.
