Super Fun Text-Based RPG Time!

Dr. Pipsqueak is mad that Saturn uncovered his real identity and so works to improve his disguise. (Does matt want any imput here or not?)

Also, the real Sawybean wakes up to find that his toilet is broken. But since he hasn't asked for a quest yet he stays home.

Parti watches the group walk away and quickly considers her options. She knows her way through Bobcat Forest; if she offers her skills as a guide, she might be able to gain the strangers' trust. Then she can pick their pockets when they come back through the Drooling Caverns. She hops down from the tree and runs to catch the group. She's very fast and agile, important traits in a successful thief, plus they're moving slowly because of Mary. Parti slows down before catching up with them, seeing another woman waiting at the firk in the road. She decides to listen in to the conversation with this other woman before introducing herself. She hangs back idly, looking as casual as she can.

The group prepares for the long but hopefully safe and ambush-free journey through Bobcat Forest. They see Emma standing at the crossroads, and once the four friends approach her, Emma asks politely where they're headed. They tell her that they're on their way to Trisgo, to find out more about the Toilet of the Gillians. Emma looks understandably weirded out, but they seem like overall nice people and they've got a child with them, so they can't be that bad, right? She asks them which way they're going, and they tell her they plan to go down the Bobcat Forest path. Emma is afraid of the thieves, since she is not as wealthy as the rest of the group, but agrees. She asks them if they actually know their way through, and the four of them look at each other blankly. They don't.

Parti decides this is a perfect time to step in and offer her services. She tells them that she is a well-known guide and can help them through, promising a smooth journey. They eagerly accept, and enter the dark, damp forest.

As they walk, Saturn notices Emma's plunger and senses its pull.

I like that plunger.

Bitch it's my plunger

"I like that plunger" is all Saturn says, as he is cursed with a crippling shyness when it comes to artists. Only artists. He doesn't know why. However, Mary also notices the plunger and yanks it out of Emma's grip, despite Emma's protests. She puts it on her head like a hat, and Saturn, enraged by this disrespect of quite an obvious relic, rips it away from her. Mary starts to cry, and Taylor picks her up for a piggyback ride to cheer her up.

Saturn examines the plunger, and sees the engraving on the handle: "In Drooling Caverns is where you'll discover/a map to the toilet that is like no other." He immediately begins running back out of the forest to head to the Caverns, without any explanation at all. The group runs after him, confused.

Little did young Mary know, Taylor actually hated kids.

Parti smiles as she sees Mary grab the plunger. If that girl weren't so rich, she might make a decent thief. When Saturn runs off, Parti is the first to catch up to him. She easily runs alongside him. "Where are you going, and what's your hurry?"

Taylor makes the piggyback ride as unpleasant as possible.

Finally the group catches up with Saturn and Parti. Parti managed to calm him down a little, but not much. Saturn incoherently explains why he ran while pointing wildly at the plunger. Eventually they figure out what he's talking about, and he calms down. They consider their options. They could either go to their original destination of Trisgo, and come back through the Drooling Caverns like they planned to anyway, or go straight through to the Drooling Caverns.

They figure that if they're going to go through the Caverns, they need to get weapons and armor and some food. Parti and Emma especially push for the original Bobcat Forest route. Finally, they manage to calm Saturn down and he agrees the the rational thing to do would be to stick to the original plan. He whispers to Parti what he wants to ask Emma but can't because of his artist shyness, which is, "Where did you find the plunger?" She tells him just on the side of the road. He looks outraged that someone would drop such a fabulous artifact there, but says nothing.

They all continue on towards Trisgo and the Bobcat Forest.

About halfway down the path they are walking along, a group of eight bandits jumps out from the trees. Seeing the way the plunger was seemingly being guarded, they decided to try and take it, assuming it might have some value.

"No one gets my plunger!" Super Saturn says.

They take the plunger. Saturn gets ready...

Parti puts her hand out to stop Saturn. "What are you doing, fighting over a dirty old plunger? I'll get you a new one later, now scram before they get something that's actually valuable!" She winks, hoping Saturn will go along with her bluff.

Unfortunately, saturn remains oblivious. "What are you talking about?" he demands. "This plunger is probably the most valuable thing any of us could ever dream of owning! We can't let anybody steal it!"
The others wince as his words echo through the woods.

Parti facepalms. This could have been so easy. She looks over the bandits. Eight to four? She doesn't like those odds too well. Her instincts are telling her to run, but her greed tells her to stay and fight - these people she had temporarily allied herself with could still prove worthwhile, and if she fled now, she'd lose her chance. Instead, she takes a fighting stance.

Emma, ever afraid, draws back into the shadows, and, to her surprise and utter terror, bumps into another person. Swallowing her terrified squeak, she turns on her heel and comes face-to-face with Brianna. Eyeing the other girl's long bow and rough hands, she puts one of her delicate hands in a protective manner over the briefcase at her side which holds nearly her entire life's worth and prepares herself for the worst.

Woah. This had a pretty awesome turnout.

Anyways, Sawybean is looking fro a quest.

Brianna curiously looks over this delicate girl, Emma, realizing her trade had to be in the arts. Seeing the terror in her eyes, Brianna relaxes, "It's alright, I'm not going to hurt you. I'm actually more curious about the little scuffle going on behind you." Emma relaxes slightly and murmurs something about a valuable plunger and some bandits before pushing herself further into the shadows. Eyeing the few people planning on standing up against these bandits, Brianna realizes these rich folk don't stand a chance without any help. Hoping for payment in return she decides to be that help. Just as Brianna was fixing to enter the fight a hand grabs her wrist pulling her back. Spinning she turns expecting to face Emma again only to be surprised when instead it's a man, Sawybean, who seems to have just climbed out of the museum. Pleading he says, "Don't do it. Do not go out there. You are only going to get yourself hurt. I can't save all of you!" Laughing she asks, "What are you, a doctor?" Seeing his quick nod she grins, "Good. You can clean up the mess I'll leave behind."

One of the bandits is a pregnant woman who is due to give birth in six years. Super Saturn decides to beat this one up last hoping she flees so he doesn't have to hit her, when he sees Sawybean! He leaves the battle and rushes to examine his nose hair. He passes a lady with a bow or something but doesn't give her a second thought.

Jessica glances around: Emma has slunk away into the shadows, virtually invisible. Saturn is peering up the nostrils of a frightened-looking doctor. Parti is fighting over the plunger with a large man covered in tattoos. Mary is cowering behind a medium-sized rock. Taylor is cowering behind Mary, clutching her stamp collection.

The other seven bandits besides the one fighting with Parti are standing around, a little unsure of themselves. Out of nowhere an arrow shoots from behind Jessica, who can feel the breeze of it whoosh through her hair. It hits Tattoo Man right in the chest, and he keels over immediately. Parti falls backward, still holding the plunger. She looks stunned. The seven bandits are also stunned, and without their leader, run away. Emma emerges from the woods, and Taylor and Mary emerge from their rock.

"Thank you," Jessica tells the hunter. "Who are you?"
"I'm Brianna," she says, holding out a calloused hand. "What are you all doing in this forest? It's dangerous."
"We're trying to get to Trisgo!" Saturn declares, turning away from the nose hairs of the now confirmed Sawybean.
"Trisgo? That's pretty far and this forest is pretty dangerous," Brianna muses. "Can I be of any help?"

Parti is obviously angry at this newcomer. She's already proven herself more worthwhile than Parti has, and is threatening to take over as guide. Brianna throws her a glance. They exchange nods, realizing that they're both fighting for the trust and money of this group of wealthy strangers. Tension is high.

The group of eight, with Parti, Brianna, Taylor, Emma, Saturn, Jessica, Mary, and Sawybean, resident doctor, sets off into the forest together.

Yes, you may. Also, there are way too many people to keep track of, wow.

The happy octet marches along, Brianna and Parti out in front, both trying to look more confident than the other. All of a sudden, Paul Stevenson drops from the tree above and lands on Mary, who immediately crumples under his weight. But it's not much weight, since he is the spirit of the baby living in the woman who was pregnant with a baby due in six years.

The pregnant woman, one of the seven bandits that fled, shows herself from behind the tree. She joined the bandits to escape the Jama tribe that was enslaving her village, and she wanted a bright future for her mystical child, who's spirit floated around and followed her. The child, if ran enough that day, could have the power to foretell the future, with varying degrees of accuracy.

The bandit mother had become separated from her band. She eyed the travelers with awe, with her unborn son running around her and spiritually peeing on rocks and laughing. They had a choice: ask to accompany the adventurers for safety, or if they still seem hostile, offer a prophesy in return for life.
